Adult Care

RESPITE CARE for the elderly and disabled includes sitting services to give caregivers a chance to have a break to renew their physical strength, and their mental, spiritual, and physical well being. Services vary depending upon the SS&B caregiver and each individual client’s needs. We strive to treat each client with dignity and respect and love them as if they were our own parent or family member. Respite care does not include medical services or overnight or extended stays (over 4 hours).

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES are provided for trips to the grocery store, doctors’ visits, beauty/barber shops, bank, errands, and various “outings”. Currently all transportation is done by car. We do not have a wheelchair accessible van.

GENERAL SERVICES can include many things depending upon the needs of each individual client. Some services SS&B has provided for the elderly and disabled, in addition to respite care, include help with household chores, light yard work, transportation as needed, help with meals, phone calls, setting up medications to be taken (morning, noon, supper & evening pill boxes), help with personal care such as bathing, shaving, cleaning hearing aids, glasses and electric razors. We have gathered and taken off trash and recycle and in general, done whatever we are physically and mentally capable of doing that will help the elderly and disabled and their caregivers.
